MORGAN, WALLS & CLEMENTS BUILDING SCHEDULED FOR DEMOLITION FEB. 15
It's a curious story. The Los Angeles Unified School District has plans for an "explosive" building campaign, and in its way is a 1936 building by the firm of Morgan, Walls & Clements, builders of many landmarks in and around Los Angeles, including the recently restored Wiltern and El Capitan Theaters, Malibu's Adamson House, and the Mayan Theater downtown.
The KEHE (later KFI) Radio Building is a masterpiece of Streamline architecture. It's scheduled to be replaced by basketball courts and a school playground.
