If anyone has any information on freestanding spiral staircases, I would appreciate it. I can not seem to find on any web site the theory behind freestanding spiral staircases. In residential applications, when you are building a freestanding spiral staircase from one floor to another, the stairs touch the 1st floor and the 2nd floor.... what do the stairs look like inside the sheetrock? If anyone has any information, I would really like to know. Thanks Chris
