i am new to this board, but it seems the question of "is arch a rewarding career" is a frequent and heated topic. what i am wondering is, to all those out there who are disgruntled, what did you expect to get out of this career and how have your hopes been dashed? i myself am about to start my masters. my desire is not to have my own firm or be rich, but would be happy to simply work for a firm whose work i like/respect (preferably doing work that is more commercial/public, i.e. restraunts, stores, cafes etc) or to pursue work in a related feild, such as set design for film. do you think this is realistic, or do you think this is somehow an unrealistic hope?
