The link below should be included with architects' training. The article describes the events related to the Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky, USA.

Click on the link in the article to the floor plan and you will see a design that contributed to the disaster.

Click also on the link in the article on toxic smoke. Another area of interest is the link to aluminum wiring. How many buildings contain aluminum wiring that may be a disaster waiting to happen.

All of you reading this now have some knowledge about design criteria that you can insist on in whatever you design.
