Reading this discussion is quite interesting. But i do believe that architecture education is not that bad. In all regards, education is what you make of it and its also a continous process which goes beyond the four walls (or whatever) of a school. Also, architecture education is expensive. I think that should become a statement of fact but it becomes more so if you spend a lot of money to acquire inadequate or incomplete education. Those that have really excelled are those that did go the extra mile with or without formal education.
'True it is' therefore, that wholesome experience is the ability to combine theory with practise ie. the ability to 'think and then make' and one is not really there until these two things lock well in place.
