And spomething about Alberti:
Leo Battista ALBERTI wrote plenty including Della Pittura (On Painting), De Sculptura (On Sculpture), and De re Aedificatoria (On Architecture).

Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola was a pupil of Michaelangelo and wrote "Regole delle cinque ordini d'architettura" (1563)
Scamozzi, forever in the shadow of Palladio collected his architectural theories in his treatise L'Idea dell'Architettura Universale [The Idea of Universal Architecture]. (1615)
