if you need a better source of news, try the "Times of India" - good paper.

I listened to the grovelling of some Brits for work in Iraq and wondered why on earth I bother to do what I do. (Does anybody want honest procurement now ?)

- but I know, like you do, that the vast majority of architects in the UK are thoroughly decent people. When one listens to the disgraceful behaviour of the likes of Blair and Bush it can be difficult to remember that ordinary Brits and ordinary Americans are mostly proper and reasonable.

The tragedy is that if these "new" people are not stopped, the distinction will be as irrelevant to the rest of the world as it is to the missiles crashing down on Iraq.

The 15 architectural practices have not actually got the work yet - and they may not survive the site visits.
