effect of School Architecture on its students. (Environmental psychology)

I'm looking for information about the environmental psychology of school and college buildings on its students.
I read a long time ago about a study in which it was concluded that bad architecture of school buildings and colleges led to a bad standard of education and poor development of its students.
I was hoping that someone here would have heard of this study, or of similar studies and could give me a good link. All the attempts to research this topic have met with adverts for little known books and long lists of titles of essays that are not available to the public.
