I wholeheartedly agree. All Land Developers ought to be required to take a class in protecting the environment prior to them getting certified. Why is it always about money? Why can't people just take their time & excercise commonsense & good sound judgement? Don't they know that trees provide shade, protection, filter impurities from the air, produce oxygen, are homes to birds, animals & insects, provide solar & wind orientation, etc.? Just because it is far easier & less costly to cause total land destruction does not give them the right to do so. Also, all states should enact laws to protect trees, the environment, etc. Also, isn't it true that land with more trees on it makes it more valuable? Furthermore, I strongly believe & think that all land developers should be fined for each tree destroyed. God forbid you or I go into the woods just to cut down 1 lousy tree - we'll get hit with a fine from the game warden, state forestry service, the BLM, ARPA or whomever.
