Justin does not have to start a firm, but he is able to try out his own ideas, and if they go well then to work with existing firms or clients.

For example, here in Nice the designs for the annual Carnival are often done by school students of various ages. The selected ones are then worked through together with the people who actually build the floats and other installations. The point is that the students work with the people involved right the way through, and get some wonderful experience - and people benefit from young design.

(Some of the experienced-older people who run firms might have benefited from this kind of experience when they were younger, don't you think ?)
