people want ot become architects because they like training for twice the time it takes to become a vet. Getting into thousands and thousands of pounds of debt. Being treated as the lowest of the low until around the age of 40. I wanted to become an architect because i aparently love the fact that i will spend about 3 percent of my time actually designing anything and then these tiny glimpses of genius are derided and altered by the boss. Anything which shows any creativity on behalf of the practice is then shown to the client, who generally loves it until they get their accountants involved. These accountants who get paid over 100 an hour then come up with a more cost effective way of producing the design you spent 8 years of your life in training to be able to do. Become an accountant or lawyer and paint at the weekends, you'll make a hell of a lot more money and feel more worthy about your existance.
