I am from Alsace myself and I know the abbey church of Ebersmunster very well, especially the Silbermann organ. The church was built early 18th century by Peter Thumb, an architect from the Vorarlberg, who is also the author of the beautiful abbey church Birnau, over the north side of the Lake of Constance. There is some literature on the subject, but not very much. You should get in touch with the Inventaire des Richesses artistiques de la France, section Alsace. The secrétaire of that organization, Mr. Roger Lehni, with whom I had been working for several years. knows that building very well. He might be able to give you a lot of scientific information. Good luck!
