What was the name of the Japanese printer who had an extreme effect on the Impressionistic Movement? Looking at the effects of painting on architecture showed how the impression of form and structure defined the industrial revolution. We were able to use more materials in extreme ways. Girded Iron was used in structures like the Eiffel Tower, the Crystal Palace, and other public municipalities. Asian architecture captures the idea of statics and structure by the way bridges were built, roofs cantilevered over structures, etc. I think Asia was forerunners in the modern movement, because the west looked at their engineering practices. Isn't that what the modern movement was about?
