yes, emails do result in a lot of grammatical and other mistakes which - as our thrashed Calvinist points out - is a product of the immediacy of emails.

however the problem is not whether there is an error in syntax, or of a non-English speaker expressing themselves in their non-native English. The problem is in those messages where the message itself shows no line of thought, no attempt to discuss or respond to a point made, has in itself no content, but is a pointless and frequently abusive expletive. That is the web's main problem - not the occasional spilling mistook.
