Architecture Career Change - Architecture Forum

I'm a software engineer contemplating a new life as an architect. Any suggestions on a course of study to become qualified. I have no architecture experience or degrees.
I've read about a Career change 1 year prep for an M Arch at Texas A&M, do other institutions offer this kind of program? and what are they worth?
