An interesting thought, the convergence of presences. Developing such idea may give an interesting thesis... more now that we are thinking of sustainable development, and well, we would love to have some animals with us (not so general view it seems seeing how humankind has been being depleting the number of species). Furthermore your stance is focused on the reality of the zoo instead of architectural display, what I see correct .. but may seen not to be by a more blind thesis director expecting "architecture" to overcome functional accomplishment.
