I recently just became interested in the preservation of our trees and I would really like to learn some more about it. I think that trees are essential in many ways and believe that that the destruction of them is wasteful and thoughtless. Trees provide us with oxygen and with less trees there is less oxygen. What is going to happen when the pollution let out into the air outweighs the oxygen put out by the trees? Cutting down trees affects the environment in more ways than I have ever thought of. If there were more trees then there would be more oxygen and therefore we would breathe in less pollution- Pollution helps to cause breathing problems, cancers and so forth. It also depletes the O-zone, which in turn contributes to eye problems, and skin cancer. How can people be so ignorant as to not see how much trees benefit us? Sorry, about that- I was on my soapbox, but I feel much better now. Does anyone know of some sites I can go to to learn more about tree preservation?
