I am not an architect, just want to contribute my experience.
In any jobs if you do what you really love to do , doesn't matter what kind of work, it is always has negative and positive.
When I was very young, I wanted to work in the airline business, we have good times and bad times, but because i do what I always want to do and love to do, it's a passion that counts. I am with the airlines for over 23 years now.
As a client speaking, it is very hard to find a good architect work with a passion of design instead "how much is your budget", " how much money do you want to spend" " here is my fee" ect...
My experience as a client looking for an architect, after interview a dozen architects, I learn that is most architects are concern, what kind the client with money and how much ....

Good luck with your future, and please design with your heart and money will follow .....
