And I know that you will never win a competition where the impetus for the effort is one that you don't believe in. Great art comes from the soul and cannot be faked, nor summoned at will. You would feign inspiration for admission to the club of fame and fortune wherein you believe that people will finally see your brilliance and crawl to you in hopes that you will bestow some of your brilliance on them.
Read up on Michaelangelo, then try to convince me that he didn't believe in what he was doing when he reworked Bramante's basilica and crowned it with his dome.
Of course no single death is any less worthy of memorializing than any other.
