Hi
I notis that you mention post modernism, a style I never realy understood or rather disliked in some particular applications ; the cold climat didn't get better in scandinavia anyway, after post modernism triangles placed on cylinders and super-boxes simular to wooden toy --- but I guess you speak in very general terms, as sure there are talented architects.
I think the whole trouble is the building industrie and the way things acturly work in a efficient buisness inviroment. If you ever visited a bare field where two guy's select the forms and a truck come with the liquid concrete, and know that there ,just there ,where the bloody building element forms is banged together by a few sheets of ply almost as in a hole in the ground, that this place with a steel fence around is the sacret place where the whole thing acturly happen , but everyone almost forgot how work ------- and know that much more efford is put into calculating how many kilometers ,then realy doing some flexible formwork and that decisions about if it's worth transporting the blocks more than a cirtain distance than acturly develobing where develobing will count, then you don't wonder why they don't project to place a sub ground floor in first, but place some huge beams direcly on ground, as that is so much cheaper, ---------- then who care as long as the ugly concrete is covered with fancy sheets.
But functionalism will not happen long anymore, as with the ugly concrete boxwork having more and more need for Decor, modernism, post modern style and the intire fakework covered with rusty steel sheets or thin brick tapestry is already about to explode into meaningless nonsens---- true quality is what functionalism shuld be about not fakework.
So we can't use Decor, right ----- then what do we se when we remove the fake clotches ; the emporor is not only naked but also ugly ; and gray.

Again sorry about my Pony, but can't you se how different 3D-H is from this .
