Well,Mark, the first sentence of your reply is a non sequitur to my previous posting.
But you are right in that we can move to something more constructive (the Deconstructionist nature of the Memorial site context notwithstanding).
I visited the site you provided a link to and I found that a "Memorial" discussion takes place there as well, yet that site has no link to this one. Why?
One of the postings there, quoted the competition rules as regards to anonimity, a possible interpretation thereof being that disclosure of designs prior to jury selection may be grounds for disqualification.I agree with that interpretation, for if a contestant were to post an identifiable description of her/his design, the ancilary naratives (their thoughts, reasonings etc.) may be considered as written addenda to the Presentation Board, and as such specificaly prohibited by the Rules. Yet you prompt (on archibot, com) entrants to post PDF's of their work. Anonimity of posts would, obvoiously, not render their CONTENT and AUTHORSHIP anonimous to the Jury.
We can however share our thinking about the Questions posed by the Program while demurring on our speciffic answers.(for now) I atempted to do just that on my previous postings.
Moreover, we can elaborate on the Logic that (presumably) each of us contestants developed as the Operator determinative of our Design development. As discussion here progresses (we have lots of time til
September) I will offer my thought process on the design problem to this forum. Meanwhile, I would urge all of you to expand (via links) this discussion to all other fora you are aware of hosting this topic.
