First off... what do think architectural school is? You said u wanted to take design courses later? Design courses permeate instruction at every architectural school; you will undoubtedly get interior design courses throughout ur studies; Secondly, I'd tell you to take a look at the Illinois Institute of Technology; as far as I know, it ranks fairly high among prestigious architectural schools; Thirdly, yes, life as an architect sucks for the beginning years of working; currently, I am working for an architect with a masters degree from harvard, and he is struggling to brng in work... obviously, one can't rest on his laurels and expect to succeed in the field of architecture.
