hi bhoomika,
im a final year thesis student in Delhi. im designing a flower market in Delhi opp the dilli haat. a good idea of doing an urban haat which is also the one pop in delhi is to do it on a main seweer of the city, cover it using a conc slab. try to make the structure low rise and give it a traditional feel of a contemporary bazaar with main emphasis on a strong pedestrian axis. use alternative tech materials to achieve low cost. best eg is dilli haat itself being used as a model all across delhi to cover the main najafgarh drain. usp is to generate a public space by covering a redundant space in the city.
all the best
ruchi
