Try researching the Worlds Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in the 1890's and the World's Fair in the 1930's...as they have plenty Civic Pride type buildings that have withstood the test of time such as their museums, planetarium, acquarium, various park pavillions and statuary, and city parks left over and preserved all being used today. See also NYC Worlds Fair held in the 1960's as it still has various icons, parks and buildings left over. Any search engine should help you get to the research of any past Expo History.
