I tell people the same thing, But all I hear is "do what your heart tells you" or "its the prestige" well, prestige and heart doesnt pay the bills or student loans. People just like to justify their decisions by saying these things. And then they say things like you are miserable because "you must be pigeonholed into doing toilets " or something like that. NO, I have worked in all aspects of architecture and I am currently at the top end of the architectural ladder, but it doesnt mean it is not a big mistake to get into this field. It is a brutal field, never enough money for the amount of effort and stress. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying.
