The statement that straw bales have more embobied energy than wood or concrete and are less "Green"is absurd,straw bales are usually a ag waste product that is burned,,straw bale houses save tremendous amounts of energy over the lifetime of the houses because they have such a high R value that they are very easy to heat and cool..strawbales are excellent building materials because even unskilled laboreers can build them..stawbales are great and green
