I agree. 'Architects', in the whole are doing a crap job (mainly in order to satisfy their own ego/bank balance).

Thats very different to 'defining' Architects as people who love people. In order for architecture to develop and become better architects must sometimes take the risk of not pleasing people. Sometimes they fail, sometimes they dont. The problem I have (and I think the problem you are highlighting) are the 'architects' who know they are not going please people and still go ahead.
