i am so impressed by the way moshe utilizes the skylights for effect. they are extremely funky shapes and when paired with the formal, "pilgrimesque" quality of the facade and brick work, the soaring curves of the sylights seem as if they are making fun of the formalism, a sort of satire, "don't take yourselves so seriously" message. i don't know if this is what moshe was going for, but it certainly adds the kind of balance one would hope to find in a modern, excuse me post-modern, space. Or is that post-post modern? I really think someone should come up with a new movement... any suggestions?
