There are (so I understand) two proposals:
'Stratford City' is a mixed use proposal (1 240 536 sqm of development including 4500 residential units, a major retail and leisure proposal and a major commercial district).
Local Authority - London Borough of Newham, Environment and Regeneration Department, Att: Mike Heraty, Town Hall Annex, Barking Road, East Ham, UK-London E6 2RP. Tel.: 020 8430 2631. E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
and Lower Lea Regeneration and Olympic Masterplan.
Client - London Development Agency: www.lda.gov.uk
The team (announced on 1st. August) is EDAW - in partnership with HOK Sport, Foreign Office Architects, and Allies and Morrison.
In other words, from what I have seen, these are distinct schemes, with the Olympic plan being the Lower Lea Valley project (which started as a 15-year LDA regeneration scheme). Don't hold your breath - do we know if there is any money for either of these schemes ?
The Paris Olympic bid is truly divine .....
