Message - Raising Venice

When I was a child my father worked for the Missouri State highway Department. We saw work crews pumping mud (a combination of earth and cement) through holes in the pavement to raise sections of concrete highways that had sunk. He called it "mud jacking".
My concept is to pump dredging spoil, water and sand, beneath the islands of Venice on a larger scale. The water would escape leaving
solid earth beneath the islands that constitute Venice.
I think nothing less than raising Venice is feasible.
