Theories need research to prove or disprove the theory. Scientific research is simply not done by architects - on how and why people use space - which is really what architecture is all about. Although the series of books on a "Pattern Language" discusses theory - no scientific backup research.

The only scientific research done by an architect belongs to Jan Gehl - check out his books as well as his info on the web - about 8000 references on Google.

All other thoeries about architecture are simply bullshit.
