I've had similar reactions to mine, and just like you I am hopeful that the eventual winning design will inspire, honor and heal. Once the finalists are selected, I'm hopeful that all entries can be accessed for all to see. For me, the act of entering was very theraputic and helped me come to grips with the tragedy, the loss to our country and in the opportunity that my entry will (in some small part) help the overall healing process for all.

I certainly don't expect to win or be a part of the 'elite 8', but would be honored, humbled and shocked (not necessarially in that order or limited to those 3 feelings) if it does happen. I'd be very interested in seeing all of the entries to see all of the great ideas and concepts that are out there as well as get a sense of the awesome job that the jury is now faced with.

Good luck to you and all you other fellow competitors!
