Well, I was going to explain the same thing; but not quite so eloquently. Now I am ashamed to say that my daughter is being educated in the same school as "G." However, he is correct. Diamond Ranch High School was built for students of Pomona (and its area known as Phillips Ranch) and the north end of Diamond Bar. The two area names were merged to come together as Diamond Ranch. Diamond Bar High School was named for its city, which was named for the ranch on which the city emerged from.
