Have you tried researching Mazes and Labyrinth Construction as a way of making ethical choices? I have found in my studies that mazes can be great ways of channeling decisions, be they rational or moral, they are linked to the human psyche. Liturature seems to be an excellent start: ex. Jorge Luis Borges, Dungeons and Dragons (most medieval Role Playing Games), Outside Over There by Maurice Sendak, or the movie Labyrinth by David Bowie. I find that Metaphors are directly linked to architectural psychology. Good Luck on your thesis:-)
