Wouldn't it be wonderful if the eventual winner of this competition was able to see past all the shallowness displayed here and on other sites, by refusing to accept any payment in kind for their design. This is unfortunately an unlikely scenario since many of the so called "design" experts are too wrapped up in there greatness. This memorial represents lives that were tragically lost due to someones blind and evil ambition, any monetary award would be blood money. Instead of reveling in how great and experienced you think you are why not do it for the honor and not the purported prestige it will bring. This is obviously an impossible dream!
