This one's for Helen Stevenson whose post of a month ago I picked up recently.

I'm presently working in Newcastle and have been amazed by the wealth of Baltic States-influenced Art Nouveau. Trade connections have obviously produced aristic connections. I don't any much on Simpson but I've out every weekend furiously photographing. If you want to exchange notes email me.

I've checked the resources at the University and it would seem that outside of rather too many books on John Dobson there has been almost nothing written on Newcastle architecture and almost certainly nothing on Art Nouveau.

I've some publishing contacts (my book on James Shearer comes out in 2005 and ARCA Publications are due me several favours)) so if you're interested there's maybe a book out of this.
