an i house is the style of house built predominatly in indiana, illinois, and iowa
the us west exploded as far as growth instead of a progression.

(progression) east coast > apalacians > ohio valley > great plains

oregon opened up at the same time as arizona, montana, california, colorado, and utah (explosion)

i houses, because they were THE house to build at the time, are found throughout the west
