Many times it does not matter. However its all about maximizing your opportunities. Some schools will expose you to some of the leading practitioners and theorists . Is that important? 'Might be. Some schools have very good programs abroad. Is it important? Sometimes. The dilemma is you won't know how these opportunities will effect your life until afterwards. It is true in the US that certain schools on the resume will at least get you in the door of some employers while others will not. After that its up to you, as employers look well beyond the school name . I don't know anything about your school, but I would advise that if you can afford to, go to the "best" school you can and not regret later that you didn't try it.
