Posted by David Sadinsky on September 29, 2003 at 12:40:20:Hello,
I was reading through Metropolis Magazine and came across an interesting design competition for "the next big idea" and I am personally curious about entering, but I would like to do is as a small team or partnership. So, being an architect, I thought it might be interesting if a variety of design backgrounds came together for a short meeting / charette and contemplated if an endeavor like this is worth pursuing.
To further the experiment, why not make it a gathering of strangers. I perused through the portfolios of http://www.coroflot.com/ and was sparked by each of your particular portfolios. I don't know any of you, and assume that you don't know one another. I hope you don't consider this as a breach of your privacy, my writing to you, but if you would like to partner with me / us, I would like to hear from you. This is not a scam, chain letter or attempt to bilk money. Its an experiment. Production costs, winnings and rights to proprietary ideas would all be split evenly amongst all the participants.
Read through the Metropolis Magazine description (http://www.metropolismag.com/nextgen/), its quite interesting, open and challenging. Who knows, especially in this economy, a little levity may make for a good opportunity for a springboard to something else. If not, sorry for the inconvenience.
