pattern language is one of the three books that CES and christopher alexander has wriiten in order to bring out certain rules in to design and planning. Using this book it is claimed that any one can build his own house... from planning to the actual construction...
but i must warn u for it might give u sterreotype designs.... use it as a reference and do not follow it blindly... it does help u in thinking more practically though . :)
