I'm looking for architects, mostly american architects who used courtyards or open flowing spaces rather than hallways to proceed from room to room. The idea is comparable to that of Ancient Egypt where as the spaces were connected by courtyards. Applications of this idea in the egyptian culture are found in the funerary temples and in some burial complexes. The concept can also be seen in Mesopatamia architecture in worship temples and complexes.
