Bravo to you on a full and enthusiastic explanation of motives and approaches for your proposal! What I deduce through all my research is that the jury and LMDC will allow for adjustments to the base specification elements (waterfall, sub-grade, perimeter, etc) if the winning proposal so requires and if these changes are feasible in cost and engineering.

Thus, your plan is in the running without loss of potential for finalist status, even if it conservatively respects all the given base elements. If it happens to bend some elements of the base plan, it still will be in the running. If it defines some radical feature that affects the base plan fundamentally, it still will be in the running.

The jury will not discard a proposal that bends the base specification, as long as that proposal carries such overall force of presence and eloquence of mission that the changes to base elements become immutable within its design.

You can take comfort in knowing that the depth and intensity of your motives and passion are shared by all others who have participated in this grand challenge. My design team's web site (see link below) serves as a news portal for many dozens of fellow competitors, many of whom have echoed your emotions and thoughts in e-mail correspondence with me. Thank you for sharing.
