I'm with you. I had a good idea (I think) that didn't include 3000 some odd objects or a list of names, yet provided an emotionally intense way to remember each and every individual. I'm not a professional, but I taught myself FastCad and pulled together a somewhat shoddy presentation as fast as my learning curve would allow. Whether it ever had a snowballs' chance I will never know. I don't even have any way of knowing if it's a good design by others' standards, and we're not likely to receive feedback. What I do know is that the last minute changes to the site definitely rendered most of my design useless or undoable. I would have had to begin again. Because I'm not a designer, my hope was to do a good enough job to be taken seriously, so that my core ideas about memorializing each person might make it into the mainstream. At least I got it off my own chest and I can go on to other things.
