Hi
While everyone else think about their ansver, I like to say, that a new building method could bind everything together. With a more structural idear to it, than just replacing the architect.
Now I never questioned the architect, but on the other hand don't think the architect need to be able to draw ; with my privat WTC , the architect shuld master the social skills to get thousands of designers together, fullfill the promise of a bright future and new jobs, by realising the Digital facts. -------- that here is the chance to stay with a memorial , eventually go to copenhagen and realise that "waterfalls" somtimes only work once. Realy anything will work in 3D-H , but if you all publish your suggestions and things go as you say, there could be a happy end to it.
But I don't think so.
Anyway if you want to write write, if you want to draw draw, don't talk when you shuld draw , that's more important than not drawing when you shuld talk. The technology that will build the nicest memorial will build the tallest house ,you all look for the wrong thing , you think you can replace words with vision you can't, and what is worse, you shuldn't.
In this memorial you must find rest, then the size is not the important issue but how it interfere with the suroundings. "We" not those who suffered need that rest. Sorry to say so, but still my exchouse is that I am a designer not an architect, so I think much more fundamental facts is what form the true vision.
If not it will not hold, if it do not yield a promise of new jobs and a better economy by develobing technology it will not hold, ------- Still it would hold, if such simple things as being a good investment, to buy a few hundreds of sq.meters in the new WTC rebuild, but true it must be nice, and the easyest way to ensure that, is to make it express the trust in technology and a bright future.
