You got me on the ropes!! You talk architecture, but what you say is more about construction. You seem fascinated by the construction process. And I am not sure where you are and what you are doing now. I have no idea what your intention might be-- do you want to design [a lofty desire]; do you want build with your own hands? Construction of course builds or "makes" architecture, which until finished is a paper exercise. So where do you want to go? What do you wish to do? And no I can't list any books which will give you any reliable information or direction without more information from you-- sorry!
