I don't know if this might help. But the first thing I thought when i read automobiles in architecture, i thought of the great concrete spirals that are made sometimes when creating multi story parking garrages. They are very sculptural and elegant at times. Created solely by the radius of an automobiles turn. Rochester NY has a very nice one. I personally feel heart broken when I find out that such a beutiful winding spiral is made for the traffic of cars.
