I have taken the ARE and I would be happy to share any details with you. The other response you received about IDP and state guidelies IS the most important fist step.

Assuming you've qualified to sit for the exam, the basic answer to your question is that it takes most people about a month of studying per mulitple choice exam...and about two weeks per graphics(assuming you work 8 hours a day outsdie of studying).

The other option is that if you are not working a job everyday and can commit all your time to studying, you can probably do all 9 over a 9 to 12 week period. Email me if you would like to follow up.
