This depends completely on how good you are. We have hired "professionals" that have charged $6000+ for one image. This included 3d modeling time since we work in FormZ and they worked in 3D Studio. They needed to remodel portions so that they can optimize the project for quick and accurate rendering. The images are of extremely high, photorealistic quality. Back in the good old days when I used to do renderings for architects as sidework, I would charge about $1200-1500 for about 20-25 hours of modeling and rendering (not including computer rendering process, just the setup) then some graphic work. I was a student so I charged less. I did good quality work. If you're doing this as a profession, you'll need to determine how good you are and compare your work to other rendering shops to arrive at a fair price.
