Transfer of credentials???? Credentials do not come with the simple act of being the member of an organization. I was told by a non - architect who screens applications in the state of Indiana that because I do not have NCARB behind my name there is no sense in even going through the application process which costs approximately $400 ( a fee I would gladly pay for an honest over the table face to face interview with a group of my peers).
Being "hoodwinked" by the image... of having 5 letters behind your name does not constitute verification of the practice of architecture and bringing George bush into the discussion has absolutely nothing to do with what I am talking about.
I don't depend on NCARB to practice architecture and I certainly don't feel that NCARB behind my name makes me any more able to practice in Indiana. I do feel that a more practical method of verification like and interview and samples of one's work would make much more sense than just digging into my pocket and paying to have someone shove papers around.
