You are quite right, but it is very few voices that speak about relive or even point in other directions than the handfull of different aproach you seen .
The further the process been going the more confused about why and what. The forced marriage between architects also count the memorial and I guess I am not the only one asking, what the right aproach will be, when revisited in 20 years.
I want to act humble to, but I fear that you can be so humble about it, that you didn't show your doubt. My choice been to show different way's, point to different solutions and ask different questions.
Those questions must be asked, like if the designs chosen realy point to a brighter future, if it do provide the jobs and reconise the respect . Like what issue is the most important for those that shape our future.
My personal view is, that a small beautifull memorial will act better than a great ugly one. That the whole process been off-track from the start and compromise after compromise ruined the original positive will, to provide the true vision. ----- Guess this as all architecture reflect our time.
